Russia sets 8 mln tn wheat export quota for February 15–June 30

MOSCOW, Jan 10 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has set the wheat export tariff quota for the countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) at 8 million tonnes from February 15 through June 30, the government said in a ruling published late on December 31, 2021.

The quota for combined exports of rye, barley, and corn was set at 3 million tonnes.

The ruling says that the government will set tariff quotas for grain exports each year for the same period, and the Economic Development and Agriculture Ministries are to submit suggestions on the amount of quotas for wheat, rye, barley, and corn to the government by December 10 of the previous year.

The quota does not cover grain exports for humanitarian aid, and to the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics.
